- His are a people who
- experience radical freedom from
- the control of living
for power, comfort, success & recognition. His kingdom is a people who prize the blessing that comes during grief, weakness, exclusion, and sacrifice. It is an upside-down kingdom.

3. Power to live this way (Understanding you are both evil & you are a "beloved child")
*I'll paraphrase a point he made that I think is worth highlighting: To the degree that you are surrendered to Him as King, you will experience this radical freedom and new humanity.

The gospel creates a new community which not only nurtures individuals but serves as a sign of God's coming kingdom. Here we see classes of people loving one another who could not have gotten along without the healing power of the gospel. Here we see sex, money, and power used in unique non-destructive and life-giving ways.
Acts-23-what we are called to be--
11 That night the Master appeared to Paul: "It's going to be all right. Everything is going to turn out for the best. You've been a good witness for me here in Jerusalem. Now you're going to be my witness in Rome!"
