Below is an excerpt of a discussion by NT Wright on the nature of the sacraments, and what sets them apart as sacred and integral to a Christian's walk.
In this video from Exponential West 2014, Francis Chan speaks on rethinking outreach. In order to be effective evangelists today, we have to rethink how we function as a family of believers and challenge our churches to do evangelism as a community through both word and deed. We must be unified as the Church, not seeking our own glory but doing everything for His glory. Francis challenges us to truly seek God and believe in His miracles to raise the dead to eternal life through Christ.
What does it mean to be an authentic servant of our living God, transformed by Christ, led by the Spirit? How does that look different from the church at Sardis that Christ says in Revelation he wants to spit them out because they are lukewarm? Below is the beginning of Francis Chan's talk. Chan discusses his own struggles to stay alive in Christ, and presents a short summary of his life in Christian ministry. Powerful talk!
