Praying The Beatitudes, Part 1 by Sylvia Gunter

SylviaThe Beatitudes are the radical new order of blessedness initiated by the new covenant signed in the blood of Jesus. They are not the Scriptural equivalent of your mama's admonition to "be sweet." They outline the new way of the kingdom that Jesus said we should seek above all else (Matt. 6:33). It is a tall order to be like Jesus, like His compassion, His humility, His longing for the Father's glory.

As the spring semester draws to a close in this university town, teachers and students alike are having to make crucial choices about how they will use the tiny bit of time left them as they prepare for exams. Mavuno Berlin Prayer Service Friday, May 4, 6-7:30pm

grace1Please join us Friday, May 4th, outside behind the church building in the grassy area. We will gather out in nature for a time of worship and praise, and participate in some special prayer for the Berlin team. Come at 5:30 and bring a blanket, a picnic, the family and your Frisbee! Worship is from 6-7:30pm at the Chapel Hill Bible Church.
