I am deeply convinced that the necessity to pray, and to pray unceasingly, is not so much based on our desire for God as on God's desire for us. It is God's passionate pursuit of us that calls us to prayer.

Oh God, Beautiful Father,

We confess that we are a forgetful people. We forget what it means to have you as our Father, our Lover, our Leader. We forget how great and glorious you are, how wise, how strong, how true.
