Praise is adoration of God for who He is, His person, His character, His names. It is loving God because He is God. The Bible gives more exhortations to praise than to pray, because God is altogether lovely, holy, and completely worthy of our worship.

"What's the number one thing that Jesus talked about throughout his life?"—the preacher shouted in that classic you-should-know-this tone. Lucky for me, I was sure that I did know the answer.
How do we pray? What should we pray for? Yes, there is the Lord's prayer--Jesus teaching his disciples, and us, how to pray. But what do we see from Paul in his prayers? If you ever wonder what you should be praying for others, or you, I recommend looking at these two prayers of Paul from Ephesians.
Nothing makes me shrink back from holy ambition and the good fight of ministry like preaching a funeral.
