What do we do when we face loss

, uncertainty, calamity, or death? Where do we go for help? Who do we cling to? Throughout scriptures God tells us he is our comforter; in the New Testament, Jesus tells us God is sending us his very own Spirit to be with us and comfort us. All circumstances in our lives God has dominion over. Christ is the rock from where we are hewn, God is the Father of all mercies, He alone has a steadfast love for us. 

 

• Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

• You will increase my greatness and comfort me again. Psalm 71:21

• This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life. Psalm 119:50

• Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant. Psalm 119:76

• The Lord's Comfort for Zion “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, you who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug. Isaiah 51:1

• to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; Isaiah 61:2

• As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:13

• Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13

• God of All Comfort Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 2 Corinthians 1:3
