The Bible as a Novel

book_of_god
Walter Wangerin tells the story of the Bible as a novel with God and the Bible characters we know so well engaging in dialog and actions that make it The Greatest Story Every Told.
Priests, kings, prophets, apostles, shepherds, and common people, all have roles with a purpose in the spiritual story of mankind that reach out of the pages of a well known but not always well understood old book in a way that speaks to us today.

Wangerin has the passion and energy of a great storyteller and the writing skills of a good author. He makes the men and women of the Bible come alive. From Abraham wandering in the desert and talking to his wife in his tent to Jesus preaching to crowds on the hillsides this book puts the event of The Book in chronological order in a way that will help the reader connect previously separate stories.
The Bible as a Novel is also available as a 25 hour audio series read passionately by the author himself. A sample of that audio series is included here.
