Rob Bell of Mars Hill Church discusses the importance of confessing our sins, and how without that we are starved of a relationship with Christ. He likens unconfessed sins as blowing up a balloon; unless we release some air, it will burst. When we confess our sins, it is like releasing the air from the balloon—it dissipates the tension and reestablishes our relationship with Christ.
