As one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account. Isaiah 53:3

Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave. Philippians 2:5-7

Lord Jesus, you have exemplified humility from your birth. Teach us the merits and value of a humble life with the reminder that those who humble themselves will be exalted. Amen.
