Motivated Spirituality

This daily devotional contains brief (no more than one page) readable passages on the spiritual disciplines.  Each reading begins with scripture and often includes stories from the author’s personal walk.  The book contains sections on the disciplines of:  meditation, prayer, fasting, study, simplicity, solitude, submission, service, confession, worship, guidance and celebration. Each separate category includes a helpful introduction, which describes the specific discipline and contains helpful, practical tips on how to share these disciplines with children.  Each discipline includes twenty separate readings (four weeks’ worth of readings, with five separate entries per week).  An accessible, non-threatening and concise companion to anyone desiring to learn more, engage more in the practice of, and teach children about, the spiritual disciplines.
