Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. Matthew 5:11-12

Lord Jesus, you laid down your life for us; John Hus laid down his life for his belief in you and your ways. Give us the courage to live for you regardless of the cost. In Jesus' name. Amen.

*On July 6, 1415, John Hus was martyred at the Council of Constance.
